What To Do With That 1st Paycheck From the Internet

You go to your mailbox. You’ve been expecting something for a couple of days now and today might be the day. You open your mailbox and you see it: Your first paycheck from your online business. You quickly open it up. It’s not a fortune, but it’s nothing to sneeze at either. You want to go out and celebrate and you should. However, first you go to the bank and deposit at least half of it into your business account in order to reinvest in more traffic to your website. Congratulations! Now go out and party, but be ready to use some of those new funds the next morning to bring you more sales and a bigger check next time

To Succeed On The Internet You Gotta Have a Plan

Do you want to succeed? How are you going to do it? Do you have a plan? I do. I even have a plan for how I’ll have a company with several vice presidents around the country working real estate deals for me and making over a million dollars A MONTH. I dream big, but let’s get back to you and the basics. How are you going to get started? What are you going to do with that first paycheck? How much are you going to reinvest? What kind of marketing budget will you have? How will you protect your assets? What are your short-term and long-term goals? If you answer these questions a rough plan may start to emerge from all the uncertainty you have now. Make a clear business plan, but allow yourself to make adjustments along the way. Stay focused on the long-term goals while you celebrate achieving short-term success. Remember that failure is just a way to learn while on your journey to the land of prosperity.

Follow the Yellow Brick Internet Road

If you want to succeed on the Internet it’s a good idea to follow those who have already blazed the trail and took notes along the way. I’ll mention a few names here of people who you can learn a lot from. Yanik Silver, Bob Gatchel, Perry Belcher, Ryan Deiss and Zac Johnson are just a few online gurus you should check out. In the world of real estate some of these names might be familiar because of their TV infomertials: Robert Allen, Dean Graziosi, Preston Ely, Colin Egbert, Shaun McClosky and of course Donald Trump. You might be asking why I included them. Believe me, they know the power of the Internet when it comes to marketing and finding real estate deals. I’ve lost track of how many seminars and webinars I’ve taken from these guys in the last few years. The Real Estate Road is old and well traveled while the Internet Road is new, but gaining traffic like a rush hour freeway. It’s new enough that you might even find a new route to the promised land of online success.

My First Day With Clickbank Pirate

I finally got to join Clickbank Pirate by using Paypal instead of my credit cards. I've searched for Clickbank affiliate programs that not only pay well, but pay recurring income each month. CBP looked to be the best one and when I looked to see if it was a scam there were lots of reports on it being a good site. They just launched this month and already have a high gravity mark with Clickbank. That means they have lots of affiliates making money.
Their business approach is a good one: The most important thing is not the sale, but the customer. They believe if you give the customer a good value for free, then you might make a customer for life. A free report in exchange for an email address builds a list that you can market to again and again. They've done almost everything for me, including an autoresponder email series followup, so all I have to do is drive traffic to the website.
They have a lot of promotional tools in marketing the website including the banner at the bottom of this page. I experimented with some of the other ones, but they were too flashy or too big. I figured the one I picked wouldn't be too annoying and might even arouse some interest.
I really believe that this company can help me succeed, even though I've failed with so many others. I'll be watching my Clickbank account closely to see if I can make any income before the pay period cutoff Wednesday night. Stay tuned.

A Big Element to Success is Change

If you want to make a lot of money, but you’ve grown used to be poor, then you have to change your mind before anything else. Being a success on the Internet is like being a success anywhere else. You have to be in the right frame of mind. If you’re used to being poor and a failure, believe it or not, that’s your comfort zone. Even if you win the lottery ticket today you could gamble it all away tomorrow and be right back where you started. If you create a self-image of a successful you and visualize it with emotion, then your self-conscious will begin to work to make that image come true. That’s what I’ve been told and I don’t know if it’s true or not. What I do know is that it’s a great frame of mind to be in to make things go your way. Few experiences in life are more powerful than when a dream comes true. Start training your subconscious mind to help you succeed today.

What Works on the Internet?

The Internet offers thousands, maybe millions of opportunities for a home-based business. I will try my best to make this blog only about WHAT WORKS. One of the odd things about this blog is that I'm using it as an experiment in the process of making money on the internet, not just a reporting device. I can "MONETIZE" this blog with advertisements that could make me money. Google Adsense will gladly place ads here for me, but how will I know if they are legitamite offers or ripoffs? The only way is to try the offers myself and see if I can make money from them. Otherwise I would not feel comfortable about runnings ads for business opportunities that I was not sure of.
I have been trying to start an affiliate program called "Clickbank Pirate" since Monday, but I'm having problems with getting either of my credit cards accepted.  Hopefully that situation will get ironed out and I can finally make a profit online. I will attempt to include blog posts from other bloggers like myself who truly started from scratch and succeeded. Hopefully, I can also add audios, videos and pictures to make my success story and the stories of others more real for everyone.

Clickbank For Starters With Limited Funds

For someone with limited capital, joining a Clickbank affiliate program seems like one of the best ways to start. Clickbank companies sell digital information products that can be downloaded immediately so there are no stocking or delivery charges. If you can convince someone to go to a website and they buy the product, you get a commission. If that works for you after a while you can create or acquire your own information products and sell them directly on Clickbank and get the full price for the product.

To give you an idea of where I’m starting from as of this writing, August 26, 2009, I have only $76 in my business account and I’ll need $15 of that for a credit card payment in early September. I have $244 of credit left on one credit card and $105 on the other. So obviously I don’t have a lot of capital to work with. Many of the advertisements for these Internet opportunities say you can start on a shoestring budget and use free advertising techniques. I’ve used some of those techniques and they’ve never produced for me. Blogging is one of those techniques, although I’ve never used it until now. I’m going to use all the methods available that I can afford in order to succeed this time because failure is not an option. I’ve checked on some Clickbank affiliate programs that look legit and will try one out soon.

Scams

I know what DOESN’T WORK, at least not for me. I’ve tried several online opportunities this year that didn’t make me a dime. One was Data Money Online. This was a site where you filled in their forms and got a Clickbank URL for a specific company that was selling an information product. Then you created an ad for the product with the help of another form and supposedly had that ad submitted to over a thousand classified sites. I partnered with over 100 companies and created unique ads for each of them and you know how many sales I made in over a month? One (A natural cure for moles) and I was the person who bought it! The other company was Maverick Money Makers. They had big promises also if you followed their step-by-step instructions. I did and once again wasted my time and over $150 on marketing. Fortunately they offered a money back guarantee and at least lived up to that promise.

One thing I didn’t do with Maverick Money Makers was check to see if it was a scam. After checking my Clickbank account and seeing no money there I googled Maverick Money Makers to find several articles on them as a scam including a seven minute YouTube video! Boy did I feel stupid! Whenever you feel like getting involved in a new business adventure, do yourself a favor. Go to Google and type in the name of the business with the word “scam” and see what comes up. If they’ve ripped people off or it doesn’t live up to the hype, people will write about it on Google!

Rags-To-Riches

When it comes to “rags-to-riches” stories, I’ve already got the “rags” part down cold. About five years ago I was homeless and living in my car. Then my car broke down and I lived at a homeless shelter for almost a year. I got a good paying job and moved into a decent apartment, but got laid off a year ago. I’ve lived on unemployment checks up to now, but they will run out next month. If you haven’t lived at a homeless shelter, trust me, you never want to go to one or have to go back.

I’ve tried numerous home-based businesses over the last few years, but failed to make any money. Sometimes I ran out of capital for advertising and other times I was ripped off. Last year alone I spent thousands of dollars trying to find something that worked for me and only succeeded in getting a big tax write-off on all the money I threw away. I’ve learned a great deal about real estate, but don’t have enough money for an earnest money deposit to wholesale a good deal. I’ve also learned a lot about the Internet and marketing online, but it’s still too technically intimidating for me to grasp and feel comfortable about. I am learning more and gaining more experience, but don’t seem any closer to succeeding.

Ever wonder if you could make money on the Internet? It’s been a goal of mine for several years now and one I’ve failed at repeatedly. Despite all my failures I’ve never given up and that’s the main purpose of this blog. To show that if I can do it, anyone can do it. I want you to know that this is a blog designed for the rags-to-riches type of person. Someone who has little or nothing to start out with and wants to become financially independent, maybe even a millionaire. That’s where I want this journey to take me.
