SPINNING WHEELS ON THE INTERNET

Every day I do a certain number of tasks in order to be successful on the Internet. These tasks take at least 2-3 hours and sometimes longer. By the time I’m done it’s almost lunchtime. In addition I do a few tasks in the afternoon and all these tasks are turning into a ball-and-chain, dragging me down to a crawl on my trek along the Internet road to success. Here they are:

Twitter: I tweet early (something inspirational), answer direct messages and then try to increase my following.
Blogging: I post to my blog and then make sure to ping it.
Safelists- I surf a Safelist to earn credits to show my ad to other surfers.
Orange Leads: They allow you to send an ad globally and also to the main control panel. They also give you seven leads at a time that you can email. I’ve done this twice and each time three of those addresses were bad.
Squidoo: It’s kinda like blogging. I have two lens that I contribute to on a daily basis.
USFreeAds- I try to submit an ad there daily because Google is supposed to love them.
Blasts: Every afternoon I send an email blast to millions of Gmail subscribers (I think). I also use the credits I’ve built up to send an ad to Safelist subscribers as well.
Twitter: I tweet again (something entertaining or funny)
Blogging: I write my blog for the following day.
Slumming: It seems that I’m always checking out another opportunities.

Why? Because despite all the time I’ve devoted to these daily tasks, I haven’t earned a dime on the Internet this year and the year is coming to a close real fast. In addition, these tasks are distracting me from giving Google Sniper my full attention. It begs the question: If doing these things isn’t making you any money, then why do them? Well, I haven’t been doing them that long and I have enjoyed writing for my blog. Something has to start making me money soon or I may have to …Get A Job!

The Coolest Check On The Internet

The other day I was scanning some Safelist ads to gain credits when I ran across a great way to capture leads in the future. The ad was for Global Domains International (I have to give them credit) and the first page showed a paycheck. On the check there were two open fields that need to be filled in, one for a first name and the other for a last name. To move on to the next page you had to fill in the blanks and the payout figure was something like “Unlimited”. Then you are taken for a ride in a Ferrari! The destination: Corporate headquarters for a little conference session. This was all so cool. It kind of fulfilled the old saying, “Writing your own check.”

I couldn’t help thinking about that check though. Obviously it was a great hook to get people to sign in and move forward. However, I thought they missed a great opportunity to capture more information in order to try and sell me or someone else again. They didn’t get an email address or even a zip code. Maybe they thought it would be too much to ask and it would have lost some people. The way I see it, once you have them get some way to contact them again and sell them until they buy or drop dead! The check concept is an interesting idea and I’m sure it could be tweaked to get some contact info while still keeping the visitor interested enough to continue. I sent GDI an email complimenting them on the ad, but they haven’t responded yet. If they do maybe they will tell me who did the ad for them and I can get an ad like that for my websites.

Paranormal Activity On The Internet

I wanted to mention the new movie “Paranormal Activity” for a couple of reasons. After getting it released to lots of theatres just before Halloween, it skyrocketed up to number one in the US. It was also filmed in San Diego in a community called Rancho Penasquitos. What most people don’t know is that it only cost $15,000 to make. That’s FIFTEEN THOUSAND, not $15 million. I’m sure by now the producers have recouped that $15,000 and have made a good profit.

The reason I mention this is because after I retire from making my millions from the Internet and real estate, I’d like to start my own production company. When I read that this movie had been made for less than most cars cost today, I was shocked. Until lately if you wanted to get seriously involved in producing a movie you had to have millions at your disposal. A few things have changed that. The groundbreaking movie “The Blair Witch Project” brought two new factors to the table:

1. They used the Internet to create a viral word-of-mouth buzz for the movie months before it opened &

2. They used a new technique of combining handheld video shots with regular film for a new realism.

Another new development has been the satellite feed of movies to theaters. Before one of the big costs involved with moviemaking was the duplication and actual distribution of the film to all the different theaters across the country. Now a movie can be broadcast to theaters instead saving millions of dollars. This means an aspiring filmmaker (like me) could produce a film on shoestring budget and then just convince a distributor to broadcast the film to see if it gets a good audience reaction. With a clever Internet campaign I could create a viral following and the rest is packing for that trip to Cannes.

Internet Wasteland: So Many Offers, So Little Truth

Sometimes I look at my trek along the Information Superhighway as a walk along a desert road. There's nothing out here except huge billboards screaming ads at me and I don't believe 99% of them. Here's a sampling of today's ads for the innocent newbie:

Unlimited $9,000 Payouts! No Recruiting Requirements! (Right!)
Never fail again with GDI (They don't know me very well)
Get an entire business for $5! ( Might be true, but can it make me $?)
You won't believe what's behind our door$$$ ( You're right, I won't)
Get 1 million guaranteed visitors! ( Yeah, but will they buy anything?)
Need Cash For Xmas? Get 50,000 people paying you by Dec. ( Sure!)
Can I pay you $39 by PayPal? (You can pay me more than that!)
$60K a month- Take A Tour ( A Magical Mystery Tour)
Now Everyone Can Make Money Online (Except you know who)

I've seen much more outrageous stuff than this. Perhaps some of it's even true, but I seriously doubt that I could duplicate whatever they did. Some even say you can make money the same day you buy their product. I'd be happy if I made money the same year! I guess the bottom line is if you want to try one of these business opportunities at least check to make sure it's not a scam. Definitely don't give them your credit card number unless there is a money back guarantee. That way if it doesn't work out the only thing you've wasted is your time.

Google Sniping on the Internet

This is a review for a money making system called Google Sniper. It's only been out for a few weeks and as of today still has the highest gravity rating on CB engine. The system costs $77 and the monthly membership is $37, but the first month is free. What is included is a 99 page manual that goes into detail how the creator, George Brown, developed his effective method for stealing free Google traffic and making a five figure income every month. In a nutshell what this 18-year-old (yes, that's correct) suggests is that anyone can set up a mini-site in a day that will draw $300 income every month WITH NO MAINTENANCE AND NO MARKETING! There are eight videos that are a companion to the manual and at times the reader is encouraged to go watch a video before moving on. Mr Brown does a good job of making some of the technical stuff less threatening as he takes you by the hand and shows you how he does things in the videos.

He doesn't sugar coat things either, stating that he doesn't have all the answers and that one needs to be patient and get better through experience. He mentions the "sandbox", Google's version of a "timeout", when your site is stuck with a low ranking only because it's new. And there's nothing you or George Brown can do about it. However, he states that this only happens occasionally and it's refreshing to know that Mr. Brown isn't selling us a rose without warning about the thorns.  He does say that it's possible to earn $10,000 a month using this system if you put in the effort. He earns much more than that and he claims to be lazy.

The exclusive members area doesn't look that impressive, but is jam packed full of information. You can access the entire course, manual and videos there, more training is available, case studies of successful sites, a Q & A section, affiliate information, and a direct link to the support desk. He even throws in a few freebies to sweeten the experience. It's apparently worth much more that the $77 asking price and I suppose other similar systems would go for $197 or even $997 and still sell well. The ultimate question is: Does it really work? Clickbank's gravity rating has had Google Sniper at the number one position for several weeks now so we know it's selling well for affilates. There are testimonials scattered through the sales pages that bolster comsumer confidence as well.

Consider for a moment what Mr. Brown is claiming anyone can do:
* Set up a mini-website in a few hours
* Not have to do any maintenance on it
* Not have to pay for any traffic
* Collect $300 a month on the average. You could make more
* Set up 34 sites in a few months and you could be making $10,000+ monthly

Hard to believe? Yes it is. With so many sites claiming instant riches for the newbie it's hard to know what's legit and what's a scam. However, George Brown does seem sincere in his effort to help people succeed, even though he suffers from a credibility shortage from being so young and new to the marketplace. The system does come with a 60-day money back guarantee and there's very little expense in order to get a site up and running after the inital purchase. In all, a very convincing effort by the young lad from the UK and definiitely worth checking out. He does have the support of a few Internet heavyweights like Brad Callen and Mike Filsiame so he must be doing something right. It will be interesting to see how long the buzz will continue for Google Sniper and how the product will do in the long run.

Am I Making Money On The Internet?

I checked my Clickbank account this morning and unfortunately the answer is no. I'm not being lazy, that's for sure. The last two weeks I've probably spent at least 40 hours each week online writing this blog, writing ads, writing articles, Tweeting, sending email blasts and more. Yet all I've ever seen in my Clickbank account is zeros. This isn't the best way to start out a new month, but I wanted the subject of this post, like this blog, to be about making money and reporting on actually doing that for a change. I've put in the time and I've done what the "Gurus" said. Sometimes I ask myself if I'm cursed and I just repell money instead of attracting it.

I finally joined Google Sniper this morning right after midnight, or was it 11:00PM? I don't know because I missed the memo on the time change. At any rate I will now be studying the materials and then start setting up mini-sites that should bring in $300 a month on the average. It taks 4-5 hours to set up one of these sites at first, but then after some experience you're supposed to do them in only 2-3 hours. My goal is to set up five sites this week and then 20 sites in the last three weeks of November for a total of 25 for the month. Add 25 more in December and that makes 50 x $300 =? We'll see.....

Making Up on the Internet

I'm going to talk to you about a product that's a horse of a different color for me. It's about relationships. That's a scary word for a single guy. Even though I'm an affiliate for this product I feel like I'm doing it as a favor for a friend. "The Magic of Making Up" was written by Travis Sago for people trying to save their relationships. It took him six months to write it and he thinks it's the best product out there to help these people. Now I haven't been in a relationship for a long time, but I sure could have used Travis' book when I was on a streak of breaking up with every girlfirend I ever had. Travis has given me so much help and advice lately that I feel like I owe him one and I have no problem plugging something that is doing such a good job of helping people.

This book has been out now for almost two years and every day Travis gets at least three testimonials about how it helped someone. I mean, it actually works and saves relationships! Wow! That's something I have no problem hyping and marketing because I know it works and it helps people. I've included a video where Travis reads some unsolicited testimonials to show how he's really helped some people put their relationships back together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqEa0IBovLU&feature=player_embedded.

You may not be having any problems with your relationship or you might not even be in a relationship right now like me. But almost everyone of us knows someone who is going through a divorce or a breakup and doesn't want to lose the one they love. For anyone in that situation please take the time to check out the website and the videos to see if this is something that might help you.

Multitasking on the Internet

Believe it or not I'm multitasking right  now. In fact, I searched to see if multitasking had a hyphen  in it while making a phone call and surfing for credits on a safelist. Everyday on the Internet I find myself doing a mulitude of things, some simultaneously. With the power of the Internet it's possible. I've mentioned surfing for Safelist credits before how you can get 1000 credits a day easily if you just start early and periodically visit that site during the day. Sometimes I'll be writing something and come across some term I need to research or just look up the spelling. I just open another window, take care of that task and go back to writing. I look at the Internet sometimes as my own private library. I can read a book or a newspaper there, write something and even have a quiet conversation with someone, all without leaving my bedroom. Did I mention I eat breakfast while reading my emails?

Don't Pay Full Price For That Internet Business!

WAIT! Don't pay full price for that Internet business! I know sometimes while surfing you see an offer that's too good to be true. A lot of them are. Even so, you can't wait to whip out your credit card and start giving them that sixteen digit figure. Before you do that be sure to do a little research and check to see if it's a scam. Then if you think it's legitamite.... play hard to get. One time I saw a good offer but just didn't want to spend that much money. I decided to press the back button and that's when an interesting thing happened. A popup appeared that said something like "Wait a minute! Don't leave! We'll give you a discount!" It was a nice discount, but I still didn't want to buy so I clicked the back button again. To my surprise another popup appeared with another discount! I've seen some products discounted as much as 66% just because of this technique. So never pay the full price before trying to leave the website. You might get a significant discount off the original offer. Some only offer the discount once, others up to three times before they give up on you. Not every site offers a discount, but it's certainly worth checking out to see if you can get one and sometimes they even throw in a bonus or two to sweeten the deal. Take it from an Internet business bargain hunter. Don't pay full price unless you have to!

Twitter Tips for Making Money on the Internet

I'm going to give you some Twitter tips for making money on the Internet and how to make your Twitter experience more rewarding financially. But first, you need to give your profile an overhaul and make it professional and focused on one or more specific niches. You need to make up your mind on what kind of audience you want to communicate with and what they might need or desire that you can help them with. Once you do those things you can start researching and recruiting your loyal followers. Here are some good links to check out:
http://search.twitter.com/ - Find people you'll want to follow
http://tweetscan.com/alerts.php - Get a report on Twitter topics
http://www.twellow.com/ - Search for followers by occupation and subject preference
http://wefollow.com/ - Add yourself to directories of Tweeps like wefollow
http://mrtweet.net/ - Create a list of followers with this free service
http://twitterlistbuilder.com/ - Another list builder
http://www.twitterprofitguide.com/ - It's $27 and includes stealth techniques and how to make Twitter profits
http://twitter-effect-2.com/ - $14.95 How to grow your business presence and sales
http://www.tweetmyblog.com/ - Free. Drives traffic to your blog from Twitter

Tweet daily and keep it focused on your niche. Quotes are good for the AM to give people inspiration for the day and something entertaining for the evening like a video. If you limit your Tweets to 120 characters, then people can retweet (RT) your message to others. Try to end conversations with a question or at least keep them open ended inviting a response. Be sure to delete those who aren't following you so you don't have a lot of dead weight on your followers list. Make a list of messages you want to Tweet so you can go to it and easily plug one in each day. Don't blatantly sell or spam. People who are interested in you will check out your profile and will see a link to your website or blog. If some product or service is genuinely working for you and you're enthusiastic about it, then share that. If you build relationships first you'll be building sales for the future.

Safelist Surfing on the Internet

Surfing Safelists is a little different than surfing on Traffic Exchanges. It's a little more work but it's more rewarding too. With Safelist surfing you look at a series of ads and then after clicking a link to get credit you are shown the actual website. Sometimes it's not easy to spot where the link is in a busy ad and the links vary in size and style. After clicking the link it also takes time for the website to load and then you have to click on the box at the top of your screen to see it. After that you have another time period 10-20 seconds depending on the site, to wait until you get your credits. A message pops up to tell you that you got your credits and then you delete that ad and go to the next one.
Sound like a lot of work? Well, some safelists don't give you a lot of credits for your work either. The best I've found is Elite. They give you 45 credits for viewing a website for 15 seconds.  That means when you exchange your credits you can send your ad to 45 people. Like Traffic Exchanges, you don't have to sit there hour after hour tediously clicking to get your credits. You can just set up one Safelist and go to it periodically throughout a session on the Internet as a change of pace and before you know it you've got several hundred more credits to use. I've only been surfing a handful of Safelists and I've seen lots of ads for other ones. They may run a special to get you started, but make sure that you're rewarded for your time and are not too limited when exchanging your credits. You can upgrade later if you want for a small monthly fee.

Internet Hobo

As one travels along the Internet Highway one is bound to encounter a bum or two on the way. Yesturday I found one named Travis Sago. Actually he's a pretty nice guy considering that he created a marketing system with me in mind. It's called the "Bum Marketing System" and best of all, it's free. As I once heard a millionaire exclaim, "If it's free, it's me!" He is so confident in his system that he thinks he could take any bum off the street, set him in front of a computer at a library, and teach him to make money in no time at all. Well I'm not living on the streets, but when my unemployment runs out who knows? I'm going to give Travis's system a whirl to market a hot new product that just came out on Clickbank. He seems genuinely interested in helping people succeed by helping newbies like myself understand keyword research, SEO (Search Engine Opitimization) and Google rankings. It's only a three page report, but it packs a punch. All you have to do is enter your email and he'll send you the report immediately. Check it out at:

Social Media Marketing on the Internet

I've read a lot recently and attended some webinars on social media and how to use it for marketing. Sometimes technology moves so fast it leaves people behind. I was just getting use to email when Twitter and Facebook came around. Now I'm hearing about how people aren't emailing anymore and texting and tweeting are the hot way to communicate. If you can develop and large following on either Twitter or facebook, then you have a audience that trusts you that you can market to. The key is to continually provide quality content to keep your audience entertained and loyal.  I'll get into more specifics in later blogs, but the buzz is jump onboard now while the wave is building for the ride of your life.

Traffic Exchange Surfing Tips

I've been surfing on five different Traffic Exchanges lately and it doesn't take long to find out a few things. Some TEs will give you one credit for each site you visit while others only give you a fraction of that, like 1/3. Some will give you bonus credits to begin with while others don't. It doesn't matter which one you choose, it's a long, boring, time consuming drag to sit there and surf for hours to get a few credits. You wait maybe 15-20 seconds and then you are presented with a test like matching a number or choosing the highest number. Then when you simply click on the right one you get a credit and you're presented with a new site to view. One thing I have discovered is that you can surf for several TEs at the same time. All you have to do is log on to the web several times and select a TE to surf on each connection. At the bottom of your screen you can just click another connection, click on the right number or symbol, and then click on the bottom of the screeen for a different TE. Or you can do what I did while typing this blog, that is periodically go to the TE and click for a credit while you're doing something else on the web. I added four or five credits while I typed this blog. Eventually you trade your credits to have your website shown on the TE.

Information Overload

It's funny. I've been doing a ton of surfing lately and I don't mean the kind where you have to wear sunblock. I've seen so many offers in the past few days while surfing Traffic Exchanges and viewing Safelist ads that the program I am currently promoting seems to pale in comparison. Some of the ads I view play music in the background while you're reading their ad. Jazz is my favorite along with steel drum music. I signed up with something called "Internet Website Traffic" which is designed to make your website marketing campaign go viral so you'll see a banner for that here soon. Even if my $6 program fails to generate any cash by the end of the month I will have gained a solid marketing foundation in Traffic Exchanges and Safelists to promote a good program that will succeed.

All this is a means to an end. My main goal in Internet marketing is to be involed in Arbitage, specifically joining The Arbitage Conspiracy. That is where you set up campaigns for programs that develop leads (emails, zips, etc.) and then use PPC to keep them high in the Google rankings. People are making insane money doing this, but the training costs about $2,000. I could make payments, but that starts at $800 and that's almost one month's rent. If I could just start several arbitage campaigns they alone could prove me with monthly income enough to pay all my bills and then some. And then it's on to Real Estate.

A Cheap Way To A Million $?

I just started a new program entitled $6 X 6 Million. It only cost $7.99 to start and pays me $6 for everyone who joins. I don't know where they got the idea that a million or six million people would want to join this program. Of course if a million people joined I would get $6 million. I've seen a few programs like this before where after you pay you are sent to a homepage that is all inclusive. By that I mean that everything that you're going to get is on this page. There is no support phone number or email. There isn't even a mailing address. They did include a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) list with answers, but customers can get no help if they have other questions or problems. They did include quite a few links for free advertising, but I'm using other sources that they don't list so I won't be competing with the other members. On the Safelists I've joined I haven't seen a single ad yet for this program (except my own) so I guess that's good. One other thing about this program is they only pay once a month instead of once a week. I have until the end of the month for the cutoff to be paid in mid-November so I'll check my stats on October 31st to see how I did. It might not have been the nest choice right now, but it was cheap and who doesn't have $8? This will be the first time I have used Safelists and Traffic Exchanges to market so it's also a cheap way to test them and see how they work. Here is the link:

A Moment of Silence For Clickbank Pirate

I just canceled my account with Clickbank Pirate and requested a refund. After almost two months I not only had zero sales but no email address captures either. It seemed that anything I did to market was in competiton with all the other "Pirates". Now I have several options available to me so I will do some exploring on the Internet and report back.

My Traffic Bonus

I jusr got an email telling me that my traffic bonus will begin in about 48 hours. This was an early bird  bonus included by the sponsor who had the ad that I answered originally. As long as I'm still a member I'll receive 5,000 targeted visitors each month. It's interesting to note that it took a month for that bonus to kick in. There were two other bonuses included that I haven't received any notification on so I'll send an email today to find out why I haven't received those yet. One bonus is to have access to a forum of other Clickbank Pirate members and be able to chat with them about what's working and what's not. I could sure use that right now.

One Month on The Internet

I know I'm been with Clickbank Pirate for one month now because I was charged my monthly fee of $37 today. I just checked Clickbank and I still have zero sales in that time period. It would be easy for me to blame CBP for this lack of production, but I know I can only blame myself. I have relied too heavily on my email blasts and they nenevr worked in the past so I shouldn't be surprised that they failed to produce any sales this time. I haven't worked the system the way I should or can so I now have 30 more days to try and make it work before their 60-day money back guarantee runs out. I just have to trust that the people who crated CBP know what they are doing when they say, "Just work the system and you will make money."

The Truth About Internet Spyware

Hearing the word spyware tends to evoke an image of popups for most internet users. It would probably surprise most to learn that almost every internet user has at least some spyware or adware on their computer. The reason for this is that these parasites can hide in areas of the computer that you can't normally access.

The biggest problem with these parasites is that most users don't know just how dangerous they can actually be. Sure they cause your computer to slow down (a lot), install things you don't want, and more, but they also do much worse things. Having spyware or adware on your computer compromises your privacy to a very dangerous level.

How often do you enter personal information on the internet? For most people, this will be very often. Many of these parasites will track everywhere that you go on the internet and report it back to it's creator. It doesn't stop at that though. Not only will it track everywhere you go, but it will track everything you type and click at these locations as well.

What this means is that if you enter sensitive data such as your social security number, credit card number, bank password, or anything else of that nature, a stranger also has that information. To make matters even worse, this information is often sold to even more people; this means that hundreds of people could have access to all of your personal information.

If you want to keep your privacy on the internet, you'll need to rid yourself of any spyware and adware that inhabits your computer. There is a free report named "Adware Removal" which outlines everything that spyware and adware do, as well as how to get rid of it. Remember, the report is completely free and definitely worth a read.

Other Internet Money Making Blogs

I just Googled the term "Blogs: Can Anyone Make Money On the Internet?" and there were over 125,000,000 entries. I checked the first 100 and my blog was not there. It might have something to do with keyword density or the fact that I only have one follower, but I'm still disappointed. Some of those blogs deal with the question in genereal and some more specifically on if anyone can make money blogging. There are a few saying you can't, but most say you can and show how it's done. I just hope I can improve my baby blog and move up into the top one million.

Free Advertising Methods

I’ve already mentioned some of many free ways to promote your online business. Classified ads is a big one, but I wanted to list some of the others as well. Try these:

Email signatures
Blogs
Banner exchanges
Articles
Forums
Safelists
Traffic Exchanges
Social Media- Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Giveaways

You might be wondering about banners because they’re not free. With most systems you pay a startup fee or membership fee. Included with many systems are promo tools which may include a banner. You can join a banner exchange and allow other people to place their banner on your site while your banner shows on their site. Each of these methods can take a long time to explain so I’ll use other blogs to explain them. Traffic Generation 101 has detailed training on all these subjects to help you understand them better.

Internet Turnkey Packages

One of the benefits of joining Clickbank Pirate is that you get five turnkey businesses complete with promo tools to market them. As long as you are a member they add one turnkey package each month to keep you busy promoting and making money. You don’t have to promote all of them. I’m just picking out the ones that appeal to me to see if I can make money with them as well as Clickbank Pirate. One is No Adware and the other is Infinite Income Plan. I’ll be promoting them here on my blog as well as any other turnkey systems that I think will help others

Surfing The Internet For Credits

Surf’s up! I’ve lived in southern California all my life and I’ve never been a good surfer. However surfing the web is a lot easier and you don’t have to be a strong swimmer. When you join a traffic exchange you can surf for money. Well, credit really. People trying to promote their businesses with emails join these exchanges and everybody reads everyone else’s emails. You read other people’s emails, earn credits, and then you get your emails read in exchange for your credits. Sounds boring compared to regular surfing doesn’t it? One benefit to email surfing is you get to see how other people are marketing. If you see a good headline, write it down and save it. You can learn a lot and get some good exposure by joining a traffic exchange. You can also buy credits if you don’t have a lot of time to surf or upgrade so you get more credits when you do surf.

Internet Advertising On The Cheap: Free Classifieds

One inexpensive way to advertise an online business is to use free classifieds. If you Google "free classifieds" you will see sites like UsFreeAds, Craigslist, Backpage, Spider and more. You can join for free and then create an ad and run it for free. Your ad will run anywhere from one week to 30 days and then you'll have to renew it. On Craigslist you can run an ad in your city and then run an ad in other cities. Almost all these services offer you a chance to upgrade for a price. Place some ads with different services and track them to see how well they do. If one seems to be producing you might consider an upgrade. Just remember to use a eye catching headline and use keywords frequently in your ad. That way it has a better chance to be ranked on Google.

A One Year Anniversary

I just had an anniversary and it's not one I wanted to celebrate. One year ago I was laid off from work. I've been looking for work ever since and have only survived on unemployment checks. The last of those checks arrives this week so you can see the sense of urgency I have to succeed on the Internet. I may have to do some odd jobs or work at a temporary labor agency, but somehow I'll get by until I produce some income online. Like I said before, failure is not an option. Hopefully a year from now I'll be celebrating the anniversary.of getting my first check from my Internet business.

Checking For Checks

I checked last night to see if I had made any sales since I joined Clickbank Pirate. I wasn’t surprised to see a zero in my account for the last pay period. I haven’t even been working this program for a week yet and most of that has been training. I still have to finish reading all the Traffic Generation 101 materials and then I can concentrate on just applying what I’ve learned . Up to now I've only being doing daily email blasts (to 3.1 million people), using a banner on this blog, and written a few articles. Now I'm going on vacation for a week and won't be able to start any new promotions until I get back. That means I may not see any sales for three weeks. I would be disappointed if I didn’t see any sales by Wednesday the 16th. It would also be nice to see some emails captured. Then those people will be marketed to repeatedly until they buy or throw up. I like that.

Internet Bonuses Up The Ying-Yang

I have only been a member of Clickbank Pirate for five days, but it's taking me forever to go through all the bonuses included with the system. I still have lots of stuff to read too as my training continues. The problem with the bonuses is that for everyone you download there are maybe five more bonuses included with it. It takes time to go through all of them and you have to be careful. Most of them look like they are free, but some aren't and some come as a 30-day trial. I haven't even listed them all yet, but I'd say there are at least a dozen to two dozen free bonuses that could help me earn money on the Internet. It's a little like waking up Christmas morning and seing the living room filed with presents spilling out from underneath the Christmas tree.

Internet Autosuggestion

I have a note on my bathroom mirror that I see several times a day. Each time I see it I read it out loud with emotion:
"I will earn over one million dollars ($1,000,000) by December 31st, 2010. I will create this wealth from Internet businesses and investing in real estate."
It's called autosuggestion and I first learned about it from reading the best selling book "Think and Grow Rich". If you do something similar you'll be conditioning your subconscious mind to work towards your goals in ways you can't even imagine. My original goal was to be a millionaire by the end of this year, but now it's September and this autosuggestion gives me 16 months to achieve my goal. Can I make it? There's no reason to think I should be able to make money on the Internet or in real estate because I haven't so far. That's in the past. I write my own future as I write this blog every day. I'm writing it to succeed on the Internet, in real estate, and in everything else in life. Write on. (That's not me in the mirror. I thought the image was cool because the guy looks like he's saying: "You're going to make money on the Internet, damnit!' "Okay! Okay!")

What To Do With That 1st Paycheck From the Internet

You go to your mailbox. You’ve been expecting something for a couple of days now and today might be the day. You open your mailbox and you see it: Your first paycheck from your online business. You quickly open it up. It’s not a fortune, but it’s nothing to sneeze at either. You want to go out and celebrate and you should. However, first you go to the bank and deposit at least half of it into your business account in order to reinvest in more traffic to your website. Congratulations! Now go out and party, but be ready to use some of those new funds the next morning to bring you more sales and a bigger check next time

To Succeed On The Internet You Gotta Have a Plan

Do you want to succeed? How are you going to do it? Do you have a plan? I do. I even have a plan for how I’ll have a company with several vice presidents around the country working real estate deals for me and making over a million dollars A MONTH. I dream big, but let’s get back to you and the basics. How are you going to get started? What are you going to do with that first paycheck? How much are you going to reinvest? What kind of marketing budget will you have? How will you protect your assets? What are your short-term and long-term goals? If you answer these questions a rough plan may start to emerge from all the uncertainty you have now. Make a clear business plan, but allow yourself to make adjustments along the way. Stay focused on the long-term goals while you celebrate achieving short-term success. Remember that failure is just a way to learn while on your journey to the land of prosperity.

Follow the Yellow Brick Internet Road

If you want to succeed on the Internet it’s a good idea to follow those who have already blazed the trail and took notes along the way. I’ll mention a few names here of people who you can learn a lot from. Yanik Silver, Bob Gatchel, Perry Belcher, Ryan Deiss and Zac Johnson are just a few online gurus you should check out. In the world of real estate some of these names might be familiar because of their TV infomertials: Robert Allen, Dean Graziosi, Preston Ely, Colin Egbert, Shaun McClosky and of course Donald Trump. You might be asking why I included them. Believe me, they know the power of the Internet when it comes to marketing and finding real estate deals. I’ve lost track of how many seminars and webinars I’ve taken from these guys in the last few years. The Real Estate Road is old and well traveled while the Internet Road is new, but gaining traffic like a rush hour freeway. It’s new enough that you might even find a new route to the promised land of online success.

My First Day With Clickbank Pirate

I finally got to join Clickbank Pirate by using Paypal instead of my credit cards. I've searched for Clickbank affiliate programs that not only pay well, but pay recurring income each month. CBP looked to be the best one and when I looked to see if it was a scam there were lots of reports on it being a good site. They just launched this month and already have a high gravity mark with Clickbank. That means they have lots of affiliates making money.
Their business approach is a good one: The most important thing is not the sale, but the customer. They believe if you give the customer a good value for free, then you might make a customer for life. A free report in exchange for an email address builds a list that you can market to again and again. They've done almost everything for me, including an autoresponder email series followup, so all I have to do is drive traffic to the website.
They have a lot of promotional tools in marketing the website including the banner at the bottom of this page. I experimented with some of the other ones, but they were too flashy or too big. I figured the one I picked wouldn't be too annoying and might even arouse some interest.
I really believe that this company can help me succeed, even though I've failed with so many others. I'll be watching my Clickbank account closely to see if I can make any income before the pay period cutoff Wednesday night. Stay tuned.

A Big Element to Success is Change

If you want to make a lot of money, but you’ve grown used to be poor, then you have to change your mind before anything else. Being a success on the Internet is like being a success anywhere else. You have to be in the right frame of mind. If you’re used to being poor and a failure, believe it or not, that’s your comfort zone. Even if you win the lottery ticket today you could gamble it all away tomorrow and be right back where you started. If you create a self-image of a successful you and visualize it with emotion, then your self-conscious will begin to work to make that image come true. That’s what I’ve been told and I don’t know if it’s true or not. What I do know is that it’s a great frame of mind to be in to make things go your way. Few experiences in life are more powerful than when a dream comes true. Start training your subconscious mind to help you succeed today.

What Works on the Internet?

The Internet offers thousands, maybe millions of opportunities for a home-based business. I will try my best to make this blog only about WHAT WORKS. One of the odd things about this blog is that I'm using it as an experiment in the process of making money on the internet, not just a reporting device. I can "MONETIZE" this blog with advertisements that could make me money. Google Adsense will gladly place ads here for me, but how will I know if they are legitamite offers or ripoffs? The only way is to try the offers myself and see if I can make money from them. Otherwise I would not feel comfortable about runnings ads for business opportunities that I was not sure of.
I have been trying to start an affiliate program called "Clickbank Pirate" since Monday, but I'm having problems with getting either of my credit cards accepted.  Hopefully that situation will get ironed out and I can finally make a profit online. I will attempt to include blog posts from other bloggers like myself who truly started from scratch and succeeded. Hopefully, I can also add audios, videos and pictures to make my success story and the stories of others more real for everyone.

Clickbank For Starters With Limited Funds

For someone with limited capital, joining a Clickbank affiliate program seems like one of the best ways to start. Clickbank companies sell digital information products that can be downloaded immediately so there are no stocking or delivery charges. If you can convince someone to go to a website and they buy the product, you get a commission. If that works for you after a while you can create or acquire your own information products and sell them directly on Clickbank and get the full price for the product.

To give you an idea of where I’m starting from as of this writing, August 26, 2009, I have only $76 in my business account and I’ll need $15 of that for a credit card payment in early September. I have $244 of credit left on one credit card and $105 on the other. So obviously I don’t have a lot of capital to work with. Many of the advertisements for these Internet opportunities say you can start on a shoestring budget and use free advertising techniques. I’ve used some of those techniques and they’ve never produced for me. Blogging is one of those techniques, although I’ve never used it until now. I’m going to use all the methods available that I can afford in order to succeed this time because failure is not an option. I’ve checked on some Clickbank affiliate programs that look legit and will try one out soon.

Scams

I know what DOESN’T WORK, at least not for me. I’ve tried several online opportunities this year that didn’t make me a dime. One was Data Money Online. This was a site where you filled in their forms and got a Clickbank URL for a specific company that was selling an information product. Then you created an ad for the product with the help of another form and supposedly had that ad submitted to over a thousand classified sites. I partnered with over 100 companies and created unique ads for each of them and you know how many sales I made in over a month? One (A natural cure for moles) and I was the person who bought it! The other company was Maverick Money Makers. They had big promises also if you followed their step-by-step instructions. I did and once again wasted my time and over $150 on marketing. Fortunately they offered a money back guarantee and at least lived up to that promise.

One thing I didn’t do with Maverick Money Makers was check to see if it was a scam. After checking my Clickbank account and seeing no money there I googled Maverick Money Makers to find several articles on them as a scam including a seven minute YouTube video! Boy did I feel stupid! Whenever you feel like getting involved in a new business adventure, do yourself a favor. Go to Google and type in the name of the business with the word “scam” and see what comes up. If they’ve ripped people off or it doesn’t live up to the hype, people will write about it on Google!

Rags-To-Riches

When it comes to “rags-to-riches” stories, I’ve already got the “rags” part down cold. About five years ago I was homeless and living in my car. Then my car broke down and I lived at a homeless shelter for almost a year. I got a good paying job and moved into a decent apartment, but got laid off a year ago. I’ve lived on unemployment checks up to now, but they will run out next month. If you haven’t lived at a homeless shelter, trust me, you never want to go to one or have to go back.

I’ve tried numerous home-based businesses over the last few years, but failed to make any money. Sometimes I ran out of capital for advertising and other times I was ripped off. Last year alone I spent thousands of dollars trying to find something that worked for me and only succeeded in getting a big tax write-off on all the money I threw away. I’ve learned a great deal about real estate, but don’t have enough money for an earnest money deposit to wholesale a good deal. I’ve also learned a lot about the Internet and marketing online, but it’s still too technically intimidating for me to grasp and feel comfortable about. I am learning more and gaining more experience, but don’t seem any closer to succeeding.

Ever wonder if you could make money on the Internet? It’s been a goal of mine for several years now and one I’ve failed at repeatedly. Despite all my failures I’ve never given up and that’s the main purpose of this blog. To show that if I can do it, anyone can do it. I want you to know that this is a blog designed for the rags-to-riches type of person. Someone who has little or nothing to start out with and wants to become financially independent, maybe even a millionaire. That’s where I want this journey to take me.
